On May 6, Canada will celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. A solemn event in honor of the coronation of the British monarch will be held in Ottawa on May 6 at 10 am at 144 Wellington St. Performers include the Algonquian Eagle River Singers, slam poet Sabrina Benaim, singer-songwriter Florence K, Ottawa Regional Youth Choir, traditional music group Inn Echo, Canadian Forces Central Band Serenade of Strings. The celebrations will end with a 21-gun salute fired from Parliament Hill.
The Province of Ontario will host its celebration of the coronation of King Charles III at Queen's Park. There will be free food, musical performances and a flag-raising ceremony accompanied by gunfire and drumming at 11:15 am. The province will also allow free access to the AGO and Science Center, ROM, Royal Botanical Gardens and Upper Canada Village, and 39 provincial parks on May 6.
